The Park in the City Committee in Niagara Falls will host their 11th Annual Ride of Silence bicycle ride event.  The annual free event encourages all participants to take part and ride in honour of severely injured and fallen cyclists.  You don’t have to be a cyclist to participate and all ages are welcome.  You just need a safe bike and a helmet.  The ride is a slow, procession style, approximately 10 km ride, with all cyclists wearing helmets and following the rules of the road.

The route will take riders along Ferry, Victoria, down Clifton Hill and onto the beautiful Niagara Parkway, back up Upper Rapids and Portage to the Museum.  All riders will cycle in a single file.  The 2017 edition will have our own Women’s Canadian Cycling Champion Sara Byers lead the way along the route.

In celebration of Canada’s 150 birthday the event committee is searching for 150 cycling participants to take part in the 2017 Ride of Silence. Interested participants can register their commitment on the City of Niagara Falls website.
